The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area daily. The service stage developed for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who take a look status sassa at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
